THE POSITION

Do you possess a profound understanding of the consumer journey and digital activation, coupled with strong business acumen, tech/data-savviness, and an analytical mindset? Then please continue reading because you might be the person we’re looking for!

As the Head of E-commerce, you will drive our e-commerce sales channels and play a pivotal role in our exciting brand building journey. Your responsibilities include overseeing performance marketing channels, which encompass marketing, CRM, and SEO. Additionally, you will take ownership of our DTC website, marketplace efforts, and the P&L throughout the customer acquisition and retention process.

Moreover, you will lead decision-making and execution for the site experience, product merchandising, and all other aspects of the customer journeys for these businesses. This naturally extends to guiding our existing e-commerce team that supports these endeavours, allowing you to continue building a world-class team as we scale. Your reporting line will be to the CMO, Clémentine Kaeppelin Lyngsø.

YOUR PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

E-COMMERCE LEADERSHIP

  • Define and lead the e-commerce strategy on all channels, including B to B, to ensure a complementary approach per channel.
  • Manage the P&L and drive growth for our own ECOOKING e-commerce channels (.dk and .com) end-to-end (DTC, Marketplaces), including overall strategy, growth & profitability goals, and team growth & management, within this scope, managing the allocated marketing budget.
  • Manage DTC, Amazon and Marketplace site experience, including merchandising, content, and optimizing product listings (content, imagery, pricing, and descriptions).
  • Own the promotional calendar, supporting key moments via performance channels.
  • Leverage analytics to continuously improve key metrics across the customer journey, including conversion, AOV, and repeat visits.
  • Lead the strategy on ensuring pricing & merchandising cohesion between DTC, Amazon, Marketplace, and support non-owned e-commerce sales channels.

> Success will be measured by meeting the sales budget, GM and EBITDA targets for the business managed.

GROWTH MARKETING

  • Lead the strategy, team, and budget on all performance marketing functions to scale cross-channel media spend in an ROI-positive way. This includes paid social, affiliate, SEO/SEM, Influencer, Lives, OOH, with ownership of of KPIs per channel and support from the Brand/Creative team.
  • Constantly test and innovate new channels, creatives, and initiatives with a data-driven mindset.

> Success will be measured by the growth and profitability of customer acquisition and the ability to scale ad spend to meet revenue goals.

RETENTION

  • Develop an effective omnichannel nurture & retention strategy, with a special focus on an optimisation of our owned CRM & Consumer care.
  • Own insights about our consumer — this includes deep expertise about their at-home usage, path to purchase, trial, and loyalty.

> Success will be measured by the depth of customer engagement, growth of the subscription program, and repurchase rate.

GO-TO-MARKET STRATEGY & BRAND VISION

  • Partner with the Brand Marketing and Executive Team to build a go-to-market strategy for new products and channels.
  • Understand the mission and vision of the brand, creating impactful digital marketing, merchandising, and acquisition strategies while working alongside the rest of the marketing team.
  • Participate in creative ideation for brand-wide campaigns, product launches, and seasonal pushes, leveraging a tactical but also brand-aligned perspective.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Has a deep understanding of the consumer journey and digital activation on most media touchpoints.
  • Has strong business acumen, tech/data-savvy, and is analytical.
  • Has an ability to interact effectively and professionally with cross-functional departments.
  • Is a people leader.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to demonstrate ideas, concepts, and market findings.
  • Minimum has a bachelor’s degree in e-commerce or a related field (preferred).
  • Is fluent in English and Danish.
  • Has a minimum of 6 years’ international experience in e-commerce, ideally in the beauty industry.
